2020 BMW X4 Review

If you’re charmed by the dashing good-looks and athleticism of BMW models and are in the market for an SUV, the BMW X4 is certainly worth a look over. You may have already seen this affable model darting around D’lberville, Gulfport, and Biloxi. While test drives are the best form of research, it’s also important to learn about a model’s specifications beforehand which is what our 2020 BMW X4 review is all about.

To keep you in the loop, our Galleria BMW team thought we’d touch on traits like performance, interior space, and safety technology!

2020 BMW X4

Standard BMW Performance vs BMW M Performance

The 2020 BMW X4 receives the M treatment for added on-road thrills. What’s the M treatment? It’s essentially a performance-variant that ups your model’s speed, handling, and much more.

So in the standard BMW X4, you’ll find a 2.0L 4-cylinder motor with respectable outputs of 248 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. Getting up to 60 MPH from a standstill takes just six seconds and your top speed measures 130 MPH.

If instead, you step up to the M variant of the BMW X4, you’ll enjoy a 3.0L turbo 6-cylinder under the hood which generates 382 horsepower and 365 lb-ft of torque. The advancements result in upgraded speed, with the SUV measuring 4.4 seconds during the 0-60 MPH test and reaching a ludicrous top speed of 155 MPH.

How Roomy is the BMW X4?

Space is often a must-have trait for any SUV that is tasked with hauling around the family. Thankfully, the 2020 BMW X4 was built with a roomy interior as one of its top priorities.

Those seated in the front will enjoy 40.3 inches of headroom, 40.7 inches of legroom, and 57.5 inches of available shoulder room. Second-row passengers aren’t forgotten, however. In the back, family or friends will enjoy 35.5 inches of legroom and 56 inches of shoulder room.

It’s also important to mention the ample and versatile cargo space. Behind the second row is an available 18.5 cubic feet of space. For even more room, you can fold down the second row and utilize 50.5 cubic feet!

Driver-Assistance Technology in the BMW X4

While you’re doing your best to steer clear of fender benders or collisions on the road, the BMW X4 will also be doing its best to keep you and your passengers safe.

Driver-assistance technology abounds in this SUV. A good example would be the comprehensive Active Guard with Frontal Collision Warning, Automatic City Collision Mitigation and Braking, plus Daytime Pedestrian Detection. The whole suite is essentially designed to alert you to obstacles ahead before reacting automatically if you don’t make a quick enough effort to avoid these obstacles.

2020 BMW X4 can be Whatever You Need

With interior space, plenty of available juice under the hood, and helpful driver-assistance technology, the 2020 BMW X4 can be anything you desire. Before you start crafting the SUV with the right packages and accessories for your lifestyle, it’s a good idea to take a quick test run around D’lberville, Biloxi, or Gulfport.

Once you’ve gotten a feel for the BMW X4, our Galleria BMW team will help you spec your favorite version of the model!
